Galerie Michael Haas in Berlin is pleased to present the works of two exceptional U.S. artists – Louise Nevelson and George Rickey – in a joint exhibition at the gallery’s Niebuhrstraße and Kunst Lager Haas spaces.
Since the 1960s, both Louise Nevelson and George Rickey have been a part of the German art scene through their participation in documenta III and IV. George Rickey is widely known primarily for his outdoor sculptures; for example, his sculpture “Four Squares in a Square” (1969) returned to its place in front of the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin just last year, following renovation.
The exhibition of George Rickey’s works at Galerie Michael Haas, on view April 28–August 5, 2023, also marks the beginning of a series of exhibitions and events on George Rickey in and around Berlin in 2023.
